Lifeguard Training-Blended Learning

Our American Red Cross course provides a generalized view of lifeguarding skills and practices. CPR/AED/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer and all course materials are included. As a blended learning course, a portion of the class is administered online. The in-class portion will include skills practice as well as a practical and written exam. All participants must provide a valid e-mail address at registration. (no school emails please)

Prerequisites: 15 years of age by the first class; 300-yard continuous swim using freestyle, breaststroke or the combination of the two; swim 20 yards, dive down 7 to 10 feet, retrieve 10-pound brick and bring it back to starting point on your back with both hands on brick and face out of water (all in less than 1 minute 40 seconds); 2 minutes of continuous treading water without using arms. Min: 3 Max: 10
