Join the Board in 2018
We are seeking dynamic leaders to fill seats on the Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District Board of Directors. To qualify as a Director of a special district, a person must be an “eligible elector” which is defined as a registered voter of Colorado and either a resident of the District, or the owner (or the spouse or civil union partner of the owner) of taxable real property situated in the District.
The election will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and is being conducted as a poll ballot election in the multi-purpose room at the Carbon Valley Recreation Center. The election will be managed by Special District Management Services. Christel Genski shall serve as the Designated Election Official.
To apply, download and complete the appropriate application below and return it to CVPRD Executive Director, Ross Blackmer, at the CVPRD administration building (340 Maple St., Frederick) between 8 am - 4 pm, Monday through Friday. After business hours please deliver to the Carbon Valley Recreation Center (705 5th St., Frederick). Questions? Self-nomination forms are due Friday, March 2, 2018.
Board members shall be elected to serve in the following Director Districts and for the following terms:
District No. 1 (Dacono) - Four year term (2018 - 2022)
District No 2. (Frederick) - Four year term (2018 - 2022)
District No. 2 (Frederick) - Two year term (2018 - 2020)
District No 3. (Firestone) - Four year term (2018 - 2022)
District No. 3 (Firestone) - Two year term (2018 - 2020)
District No 4. (At-large) - Four year term (2018 - 2022)
