All fitness classes are held at the Carbon Valley Recreation Center unless stated otherwise. Drop-in group fitness classes are included with daily admission fees or rec center membership passes. 

Memorial Day Fitness Classes

Our regularly scheduled group fitness classes will not be held on Memorial Day (Monday, May 30), but join us for a special lineup of classes.

Les Mills BODYCOMBAT 
BODYCOMBAT™ is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness, no experience needed. Learn moves from karate, taekwondo, boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and kung fu. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ. Instructor: Kacy Simper

SilverSneakersYoga
Standing and seated yoga, chair is offered so you can perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level.

30-MINUTE HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING (HIIT) CYCLING
Kick-start your metabolism through a series of short, high-intensity intervals. Don’t like being in the seat for an hour? You’ve found the right class. Short, but intense. For all fitness levels.

ALIGN-N-FLOW YOGA
Alignment based Hatha yoga is a slower paced perfect for beginners to advanced and will take you through standing and seated Asanas; while introducing students to backbends and inversions. Designed to calm your mind, body and spirit. Modifications are offered to make the class accessible to all levels of practitioners.

ALL LEVELS YOGA
A Vinyasa-style class, synchronizing breath with movement. This class builds balance, strength, tones the mind and body and leaves you feeling invigorated. Focuses on alignment and safety, with modifications for advanced poses, inversions and arm balances. Expect to build heat through breath, sweat, twisting and balance. Great for beginners and challenging enough for experienced yogis.

BOOT CAMP
High-intensity exercise class designed to increase strength, speed, muscular and cardiovascular endurance.

BODYPUMP/CORE FUSION
BODYPUMP™ format followed by CORE™. Strength followed by total core work. The ultimate workout!

CYCLE TO THE CORE 
HIIT cycling followed by Les Mills CORE  training. It's a great mix of cardio and core.

GENTLE YOGA
Low-impact yoga class perfect for the new or beginning yogi looking for a peaceful and relaxing experience.

If you’re looking to improve your athletic abilities this is the class for you. GRIT Athletic focuses on strength, speed, agility and power in this explosive 30-minute high-intensity interval training format.

LES MILLS GRIT™ CARDIO
This 30-minute high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout improves cardiovascular fitness, increase speed and maximize calorie burn using a variety of body weight exercises and provides the challenge and intensity you need to get results fast. Cardio takes HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you, motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast!

LES MILLS CORE™ 
Build strength, stability and endurance in this ultimate scientific 30 minute core workout designed to improve definition and sports performance. Works all the muscles of the core including abdominals, glutes and back to improve balance and injury prevention. 

LES MILLS BODYCOMBAT™

LES MILLS GRIT™ STRENGTH 
Les Mills cutting edge Strength is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, designed to improve strength and build lean muscle. This workout uses a barbell, weight plate and body weight exercises to blast all major muscle groups. 

POWER CIRCUIT
Speed up your workout using intervals and circuits for a fast-paced, high intensity 60 minute class. Designed to increase athletic performance, strength and stamina. 

SILVERSNEAKERS® CIRCUIT 
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers® ball is alternated with non-impact choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises. 

SILVERSNEAKERS® CLASSIC 
New to SilverSneakers or exercising? This is a great place to start! Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength and range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. 

SILVERSNEAKERS® YOGA
Get ready to move through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered so you can perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level.

STEP INTERVALS
Ready for some old school step? Step intervals with weights and bodyweight strength training. 

TAI CHI 
Gentle moving poses and low-impact exercises help build balance, a healthy spirit, mind, and body. Class is held at our Firestone Studio, 8350 Colorado Blvd., Suite 170 (next to Dairy Queen).  

ZUMBA® 
A fun, total body workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome. No dance experience required.

ZUMBA GOLD® 
A modified Zumba® class for active older adults that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. Easy to follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination.
