Senior Center Trips

Each trip description below includes an exertion level number. This is a generalization of the exertion levels that participants can expect on a trip.

OCTOBER
Estes Park Elk Bugling (4-5)

Enjoy the fall colors and listen to the sound of the elk bugling on this fun trip to Estes Park. We will grill hot dogs and hamburgers while enjoying the calls of the bull elk. Dress appropriately for the weather and bring a folding chair. The elevation is over 10,000 feet. Fee includes transportation and a BBQ meal.  Cancellation deadline: Sep 28

Georgetown Loop Oktoberfest (3)


Oktoberfest Trains offer a free Colorado microbrew beer tasting for all adult riders and a free bratwurst or hot dog. Come enjoy the crisp fall days as you ride on the Georgetown Loop! Cancellation deadline: Oct 6

Supper Club- Exchange Tavern (2)

The Exchange Tavern was voted the 2016 Denver A-List #1 Irish Pub. Come with us to relax and enjoy their Irish Hospitality and rustic seasonal cuisine and craft beverages. Fee includes transportation and escort. Dinner, drinks, and tip on your own. Cancellation deadline: Oct 10

Movie and Lunch (1)

Join us for lunch at “The Post Chicken & Beer” in Longmont where you can enjoy some good ol’ fashion home cookin’. Afterwards we will go to the movie theater where you can chose your movie (ahead of time). Fee includes: movie ticket and transportation. Food cost is on your own. Cancellation deadline: October 17

Mardi Gras Casino (3)


Feeling lucky? Sit back and relax as you are comfortably taken to the Mardi Gras Casino in Blackhawk. The casino package includes $10 food credit, $5 free play on card, and free drinks while gambling. A player’s card must be used to earn and receive the package. You must be 21 or older to go on the trip. Meals are on your own. Fee includes transportation. Cancellation deadline: Oct 16

Supper Club– Pepper Pod (2)

The Pepper Pod is currently celebrating 104 years in business!  They strive to bring you the freshest & highest quality foods available, prepared when you order. Enjoy well marbled beef, aged in the facility, and cut fresh daily. All salad dressings, soups, breads, gravies, etc., are all made from scratch, with many from recipes created over 100 years ago. Fee includes transportation and escort. Dinner, drinks, and tip on your own. Cancellation deadline: Oct 24

Banjo Billy's Denver History Tour (2)


Join us on a tour to learn about Denver’s corrupt past, promising future, and the ghosts and criminals who still form our identity today. Ever wonder if the US Mint has ever been robbed? It depends on who you ask. Why people in Victorian clothing wander through Cheesman Park. How Denver got its name for the price of a barrel of whiskey. The real story of Molly Brown, before and after that boat incident. A fascinating story of oil, corruption, and a mysterious death. Deadline Oct 26

Longmont Escape Room (3)

Put your mind to the test at this physical adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles using clues, hints and strategy to complete the objectives at hand. Players are given a set time limit to unveil the secret plot which is hidden within the rooms. Minimum: 10. Cancel deadline: Nov 2

National Renewable Energy Laboratory(3)

Join us as we visit the NREL in Golden and learn where our energy comes from and how it is used. This process is always evolving in response to changes in the environment, advances in technology, and energy costs. You’ll explore NREL's research and development activities, current applications of renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies, and energy systems integration. Min: 8. Cancel deadline: Oct 27.
