Group Fitness Classes   

Get moving and feel great! The Carbon Valley Parks and Recreation District offers a variety of group fitness classes throughout the day and evening. With so many options, there's sure to be something for everyone. All group fitness classes are included with membership or general admission.

Zumba Glow Party
Friday, October 19, 6:30 - 8 pm
Get out your neon and glow sticks, it's time to party yourself into shape! Join us as we turn down the lights and crank up the fun at our Zumba Glow Party. Bring a child's coat for our local coat drive. For more information or to register visit or call 303-833-3660. Age: 12+  Fee: $10

Barre Above Now at CVPRD
Barre Above® is a totally unique approach to barre workouts as you've seen them. Fusing the best of Pilates, yoga, aerobics, and elements of the strengthening exercises dancers do, Barre Above® delivers a results-driven workout that is not only fun and dynamic, but it will sculpt your body and get you into absolutely amazing shape.
When taking a Barre Above® workout:
  • You'll see improvements in your posture, flexibility, overall body strength, and balance.
  • You'll obtain a body awareness that you may not have had before.
  • You'll transform your body and feel more confident in your fitness.
  • You'll establish friendships and new connections among your fellow participants.

You don't need to worry about having any dance experience in order to take a Barre Above class, because Barre Above® instructors teach you with the intent of progression with safer approach. When you take a Barre Above® class, you'll always feel challenged, yet consciously aware of what is right for your body. Barre Above® classes teach you to find the strength of a dancer within you, and to transform your body.

Zumba Gold Returns September 4
Zumba Gold is perfect for active older adults looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. Easty-to-follow Zumba choreography focuses on balance, range of motion, coordination, and of course fun! Join us 

Core Fusion Yoga Starts September 7
Strengthen and stretch your mind, body, and spirit with a focus on your core. This class is a fusion of Vinyasa yoga and holding postures where you build upon strength and balance. Modifications are offered for more advanced postures. The class takes place on Mondays at 8 am. 

Aqua Yoga starts September 19
Aqua Yoga starts Wednesday, September 19 at 7 pm.  

Women's Weight Training
This three-week weight lifting class is designed to teach women how to lift free weights with proper technique and gain confidence to help transform their minds and bodies.  Strength training is finally getting the attention it deserves as a beneficial, safe and effective exercise for women.  After years of misinformation, women are learning that strength training not only enhances muscle tone but also boosts metabolism, speeds up fat burning and reduces risk.  Age: 15+  Instructor: Amanda Webb
